Culinary Arts (Daytime)

Students in intergenerational programs will be sharing instruction, classroom,
and laboratory activities with GJCTC's high school students.

720 Hours - Tuition $6,400* — Program Begins Late August and Ends Early June

Daily Schedule 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday

Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts program provides students with theory and practical work experience related to planning, selecting, preparing and serving quality foods. This program also covers safety practices, the use and care of commercial equipment, and sanitation precautions. The GJCTC Culinary Arts kitchen and the GJCTC Spartan Inn Restaurant offer ideal settings to both study and practice all phases of food production, baking, and related services. This program prepares students to pursue careers related to institutional, commercial and self-owned food establishments. Career specialties include chef, specialty cook, meat cutter, caterer, cake decorator, and food salesman. "Serve Safe" certification is available to students who qualify. At program completion, the student is awarded a diploma.
