Auto Body/Detailing (Daytime)
Students in intergenerational programs will be sharing instruction, classroom,
and laboratory activities with GJCTC's high school students.
720 Hours - Tuition $6,650* — Program Begins Late August and Ends Early June
Daily Schedule 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday
This program includes all phases of auto body instruction, from cost estimation to finish coat application. The student will develop skills and techniques in oxy-acetylene welding, brazing, MIG welding, metal straightening and metal shrinkage, collision damage repair and parts replacement. Frame repair, glass replacement, electrical system repair, panel installation, trim work, surface refinishing and paint color matching and spraying are included in this program. Training is provided using the latest equipment available in the industry. Students are being trained for entry-level employment in privately-owned, auto dealership, and national chain auto body repair shops and collision centers. The Auto Body/Detailing lab is an ASE Certified Training Center. At program completion, the student is awarded a diploma.
