Daily Schedule 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday

Cosmetology

The Cosmetology program at the Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology. After students satisfactorily complete 1250 hours of instruction in hair color, foiling, chemical retexturizing, hair cutting, nail care, artificial nails, skin care, make-up, hair removal, hair styling, hair extensions, formal hair styling, shampooing, scalp treatments, customer relations, record keeping, decontamination, and infection control, the student is eligible to apply for and take the State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination. Upon passing the examination, the student is licensed and qualified for employment in the cosmetology field. Both men and women are enrolled in this program and do extremely well in the Cosmetology industry.
